Dried Prawns UK

Dried Prawns UK are often used in many dishes from West Africa. In addition, everybody is always talking about jollof rice.  Due to its popularity Jollof rice is liken to potato in the West. Most of Africa is fighting for ownership of this great dish. Some say it is Nigerian, some Ghanaian and some Sierra Leonean.

There are many different ways to cool Palava. This is made with groundnuts, instead of egusi, in a Sierra Leone style. It is extremely delicious and very popular dish in my household.

Ingredients:

First of all 2 table spoons of rather palm oil ( you can use or vegetable oil
1 medium finely chopped onion
1 can of chopped tomatoes
2 table spoon of  peanut butter

3. Palm oil
600ml water
1/2 dried thyme or sprig of fresh thyme
Also chilli pepper/salt to taste
450gr spinach
200gr smoked fish
Finally 300 – 400gr whole crayfish

Preparation:
1. First of all put palm oil in a deep saucepan. When hot add the onions also tomatoes. Cook on high heat for 5 min, stirring.

Recipe for Smoked Prawns and Yaji Fried Rice

Ingredients

1 cup Rice

10 pieces smoked Prawns

2 tea spoons (dry Chilli pepper + cloves + dry ginger powder)

1 small Onion

2 Also chopped Carrots

5 Also chopped Spring Onion

Finally 1/4 cup Vegetable oil

And also Dry pepper to taste

1 Chopped  Tatashe

Crayfish seasoning cube

Salt to taste

First of all, put oil in fry the onion on a low fire. Wash your President rice while pan is heating up. When onion starts to caramelize add the Yaji for a few seconds. Also pour in the raw washed rice, crush in the crayfish seasoning, pepper and salt and fry.
Fry the rice dry stirring consistently with a wooden spoon for about 5 minutes.
Add water, prawns and taste to correct seasoning. Allow to simmer till rice to cook. Taste to check that rice is cooked before adding the carrots to cook for about 3 minutes.
Turn off the heat add the spring onion and tatashe stir and allow the vegetables to cook in the heat
Serve rice hit or warm.
